It is not made from cloth therefore should not be used to soak up drool or liquids but instead should be used to feed solids. It is far superior from other plastic bibs as it is very soft and suptle. My daughter does not mind wearing it and it keeps her clothes clean when she is eating solid foods that drip down her bib into the little pocket on the bottom. I have a few of these, one on her high chair, one in her diaper bag and one at grandmas. Best bib that will last. All you do is wipe it clean. Easy to clean, fun colors, easy to put on. I bought them for my 6mth old twins and they are not as good as cloth bibs for Stage 1 foods. The liquidy (is that a word?) food sneaks under the chin and under the top of the bib onto the neck of thier shirts. But for more solid food I love them. It has good coverage and cleans up well. I just throw it in the wash and hang it to dry and it looks brand new after months of use. Also, the neck hole is a bit big for him (hopefully he'll grow into it) so the cereal that he spits out or drools out runs down his neck, chest, and clothes. I've tried to maket he velcro as "tight" as possible but it's still a bit big for him right now. Other than that, I love how easy it is to wash in the sink or washer and it dries quick b/c of the lightweight material.
